Mom’s birthday is coming up! How is she going to handle it?

Traveling with baby to Downtown Disney for the first time this weekend. How this mom prepares for one squirmy kid.
Disney this weekend! Well, actually Downtown Disney to be precise. But it is close enough and Aden won’t know the difference. We are going to try out the new restaurant, T-REX, which we have heard lots of wonderful things about. I’m a closet paleontologist so I’ll pretend that I’m twelve and get in the sandpit with the kids to dig for bones. (Yea, I do know that I don’t look anywhere near 12.)

Oh my gosh, I am such a big fan! I would have been at the midnight showing except that I have to work and sleep and take care of the baby, and blah, blah, blah. Sometimes life just gets in the way of my desires! We are definitely going to see it this weekend…..

Inexpensive toys that the toddlers can entertain themselves with.
Entertaining a toddler stretches the creative mind to its limits. How does one find an object that will delight and keep a nine-month old busy? I read all the parenting books and took their advice…use everyday objects. It is really amazing how an expensive shiny colorful toy will be passed up for an old wooden spoon.
